BBF TALK: HOW CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC IS IMPACTING THE RETAIL INDUSTRY

The effect of the coronavirus is having an acute and far-reaching impact on both the local and global economy and has sent public and private agencies looking for ways to retort. The unprecedented pandemic has generated stress in capital markets and frozen labor participation. This makes it clear that, as the contagion takes hold across the world, our corporate bodies need support to mitigate this issue with expert advice.

With numerous countries around the world still in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, retailers are finding innovative ways to cope and meet the upsurge in e-commerce demand. With many consumers already or on the cliff of being sheltered in place, digital grocery has become the only choice or at least a more desirable option, even in just enabling order pickup, than going into a real grocery store full of other, potentially contagious people to shop.

BBF took this initiative in strategic partnership with International Advertising Association IAA to bring all the top minds of Bangladesh in a Webinar, which was broadcasted on Facebook and YouTube.
